world of smilsabout tn yars ago whn i was an undrgraduat in collg, i was working as an intrn at my univrsity's musum of natural history. on day whil working at th cash rgistr in th gift shop, i saw an ldrly coupl com in with a littl girl in a whlchair.as i lookd closr at this girl, i saw that sh was kind of prchd on hr chair. i thn ralizd sh had no arms or lgs, just a had, nck and torso. sh was waring a littl whit drss with rd polka dots.as th coupl whld hr up to m i was looking down at th rgistr. i turnd my had toward th girl and gav hr a wink. as i took th mony from hr grandparnts, i lookd back at th girl, who was giving m th cutst, largst smil i hav vr sn.all of a suddn hr handicap was gon and all i saw was this bautiful girl, whos smil just mltd m and almost instantly gav m a compltly nw sns of what lif is all about. sh took m from a poor, unhappy collg studnt and brought m into hr world; a world of smils, lov and warmth.that was tn yars ago. i'm a succssful businss prson now and whnvr i gt down and think about th troubls of th world, i think about that littl girl and th rmarkabl lsson about lif that sh taught m.
